The LaserSharp® Workstation XY combines a steered beam laser with an accurate XY positioning system, creating a new standard for high speed performance. What makes this system truly innovative is that in addition to a high-speed steered laser beam, a fixed beam can be added to process thicker materials, up to 3/8 inches thick. The combination of both processing options in a single system offers the flexibility to process a wide range of applications. Switching between fixed and steered beam processing modes is simple and doesn't require hardware changeover. Additionally, the system's large work support accommodates sheet sizes up to 1220 mm x 1220 mm (48" x 48").
Most conventional laser systems operate using a ball screw motion system to direct one fixed beam laser across the work surface. In contrast, the WorkStation XY uses high precision linear motors for a higher level of positioning accuracy across the X and Y axes. For added productivity, the WorkStation XY can also be configured to incorporate automated material handling systems. These features, combined with patented software controls, allow you to realize increased productivity and accuracy that conventional XY laser systems simply cannot match.
